Join the Down East Republican Club 

The Down East Republican Club welcomes all Republicans, soon to be Republicans and Independents as members. The mission of the club is to provide informative and entertaining meetings that focus on promoting Republican candidates, local issues and national issues of local interest and importance. Generally our meetings are open to the public. Guests are allowed to attend two meetings during a calendar year before joining the club. You must be a Republican to join the club. Al Klemm is the current club president. Al would be proud to have you as a member of the Down East Republican Club. Come on and join us!

Membership in the Down East Republican Club is $15.00 per person per year. Regularly scheduled Club meetings are the 4th Thursday of each month. Periodically, we schedule special meetings at different locations. These meetings will be posted on the Web site, in the Washington Daily News and Greenville Reflector. We  also contact members by Email or regular mail to inform members of upcoming events.

Regularly scheduled meetings are at Cliff’s Seafood in Chocowinity on Highway 17. We have an optional meal and fellowship from 6:00 to 6:45 PM. The meal is ordered from the menu. The Club meeting begins at 6:45 PM and ends at approximately 8:15 PM. 

The Down East Republican Club membership is a bargain and an excellent opportunity to stay informed, meet new and old friends and at the same time, have a good time! It is also your opportunity to become involved as an active Republican. Even if you don’t want to be active, it is the best way to be informed. Come join us!  

For membership information, call Ed Henry at 946-3223. If you don’t have a chance to call, come anyway and if you like what you see, sign up at the meeting.
